The parishes in Tampere provide counselling for couples, families and individuals. You can come alone or together with your partner or other family member. Hospital chaplaincy
Hospital chaplains work among the patients and their relatives and the hospital staff in the hospitals in the Tampere region. In their work the hospital chaplains are committed to confidentiality and to respecting the convictions of each and every person.Diaconal work
Diaconal work is one of the main tasks of the church: we provide spiritual, physical and material help to those in need. Our particular aim is to try and to reach those who need help the most and who do not receive help anywhere else.The Diaconal Centre in Tampere provides services to prisoners, people with mental, hearing, visual and motor disabilities as well as people with substance abuse problems.
The centre also provides cleaning aid, meals on wheels and daytime activities for the elderly. At the food bank, clients may pick up a bag containing basic foodstuffs. Material aid is intended to be temporary.
